The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL), has been protecting and caring for animals since 1956. It is South Africa’s second largest independent Animal Welfare Organization, relying entirely on the generosity and goodwill of the animal-loving public for financial support.

St.Theresa’s Children’s Home
For the past 86 years the St Theresa‘s Children‘s Home has provided accommodation and care for orphaned and vulnerable children.  The primary concern is to ensure that the physical, psychological and emotional needs of the children are met.

The Highway Hospice
They  provide care for people with advanced, incurable terminal illness in the final stages of life.  They promote Palliative care which is treatment focused on the patient as opposed to the disease.  The goal is to, “make people feel better”.  Not only physically by providing comfort but also emotionally, socially, practically, intellectually and spiritually.  This starts at diagnosis and continues during treatment, and moves through to end of life as needed.
